— A LEGACY OF FAITH AND CLINICAL EXCELLENCE
Helping families on the path to healing for 25 years.
Founded in the Hickmon family home in 2001, Capstone has grown into a nationally recognized residential treatment program. We help young men and their families understand the hurt beneath troubling behavior and build a foundation for lasting change.

— WHAT MAKES CAPSTONE DIFFEREnT —
A residential program built for deeper work.
Our program gives young men and their families the time, relationships, clinical attention, and support needed to address complex concerns at their roots.
Christ-Centered Care
Founded on faith & clinical excellence our team combines their extensive clinical training with faith-rooted purpose to help families find healing.
2:1 Industry-Leading Ratio
Each primary therapist works with only two clients, supporting deep individual and family therapy.
Core Systems Model
Our model created by our founder Dr. Adrian Hickmon retraces the roots of trauma, attachment wounds, and unhealed relational systems to find what truly makes sense underneath the pain.
Family Involvement
Visits, family therapy, Family Week Intensive, aftercare, and continued alumni support help the whole family move forward.
Time for Meaningful Change
The 90–96 day duration rooted in research provides clients a safe environment to practice the tools needed for lasting change.
Every Client Gets a Puppy
Each client receives a Labrador retriever puppy that supports attachment, responsibility, and companionship. They take their puppy home with them upon graduation.
Trauma-Trained Clinical Team
Our clinicians receive extensive training in trauma treatment modalities, our Core Systems Model created by Dr. Adrian Hickmon, Brainspotting, EMDR, and more.
National Depth in Sexual Addiction Treatment
Capstone has one of the largest groups of Certified Sex Addiction Therapists working together within one residential treatment program in the country.
— FROM OUR FOUNDER
Understanding the story beneath the struggle.
Dr. Adrian Hickmon is the founder and clinical architect of Capstone Treatment Center. Founded in 2001, Capstone has grown into one of the nation’s leading residential treatment programs for adolescent boys and young men. Dr. Hickmon has presented internationally on addictions, trauma, and marriage, with over 25,000 hours of supervision and clinical experience.
What Makes This Make Sense?
BY DR. ADRIAN HICKMON
After decades walking alongside families in their darkest seasons, Hickmon has learned that the behaviors that frighten us most are almost never the whole story. More often, they are survival strategies born in the dark caves of trauma, disconnection, and unspoken pain. His Core-Systems Model invites you past the labels and quick fixes and toward a single, life-changing question: What makes this make sense?
