There’s hope for healing, and now, help for families across Arkansas.
When a son struggles with substance use or addiction, it can feel like life has been turned upside down. Parents often face a heartbreaking mix of worry, frustration, and uncertainty about how to get their child the help he needs, and how to afford it.
Through a partnership with the State of Arkansas, Capstone Treatment Center is offering need-based scholarships to help families cover the cost of residential treatment for teenage boys and young men between the ages of 14 and 28. These scholarships were created to make world-class, Christ-centered, and clinically excellent treatment accessible to Arkansas families who might otherwise be unable to afford care.
What the Arkansas Scholarship Covers
The Arkansas Treatment Scholarship Program was designed to bridge the gap between financial need and effective treatment. Each scholarship helps offset the cost of Capstone’s 90- to 96-day residential treatment program, which includes:
- Individual, group, and family therapy
- Comprehensive treatment and aftercare plan
- Opportunity for education and academic support
- Family sessions and Family Week intensive
- Residential expenses: Room, Board, Meals, Adventure Days, etc.
- Every boy gets a Labrador Retriever puppy upon admission and takes that puppy home when they graduate.
Every element of treatment at Capstone is built on both clinical excellence and Christ-Centered compassion, addressing the root causes of addictive behaviors, not just the symptoms.
Who Qualifies for a Scholarship
Scholarships are available to Arkansas residents who meet both clinical and financial eligibility criteria.
Families may qualify if their son:
- Have a teenage son or young adult (ages 14–28) with a diagnosed substance use disorder, problematic patterns of use, or signs of dependency.
- Are ready to commit to the full 90-day program, which includes both individual
and family-based therapy. - Want to actively participate in their son’s healing journey through a structured
family therapy process
Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and are reviewed based on financial need, family readiness, and clinical fit.
Why Residential Treatment Matters
Substance abuse and addiction thrive in isolation. Lasting recovery happens in a structured, therapeutic environment, one that combines accountability, community, and addressing the deeper wound that is causing these actions.
At Capstone, young men step away from the chaos of daily life and enter a setting designed for restoration. Each client receives one-on-one attention from a highly trained team of therapists and staff who have extensive training in addiction, trauma, mental health, and family systems work.
The result? A deeper, more sustainable path to freedom, not just temporary sobriety.
A Pathway to Healing for Arkansas Families
These funds exist to make healing possible. Whether your son has just begun experimenting with substances or has been caught in a long-term struggle, financial barriers shouldn’t stand in the way of getting real help.
Capstone’s scholarship program allows Arkansas families to access the same high-level residential treatment trusted by families nationwide, right here at home.
Families who qualify for the program gain access to a full continuum of care, from initial admission through their treatment journey into aftercare planning. The goal isn’t just to help your son recover, it’s to equip your whole family with the tools to rebuild trust, connection, and hope.
About Capstone Treatment Center
Capstone Treatment Center is a family-owned residential treatment program located in central Arkansas. For over 24 years, Capstone has specialized in helping young men overcome addiction, trauma, attachment wounds, and mental health struggles in a Christ-centered environment.
Our approach is built on the Core Systems Model, developed by Capstone’s founder, Dr. Adrian Hickmon, The Core-Systems Model is an integrated clinical approach rooted in neurobiology, trauma theory, spiritual formation, and family systems. This model has been the foundation of Capstone’s success and is now being used across multiple clinical settings. Rather than focusing on quick fixes or surface-level interventions, this model retraces the roots of trauma, attachment wounds, and unhealed relational systems to find what truly makes sense underneath the pain.
Every young man is more than his struggle, and with the right support, recovery is possible.
Take the First Step Toward Healing
Financial barriers shouldn’t be the reason a young man goes without help. The Arkansas Treatment Scholarships were created for families who are ready for change but need support to take that first step.
