Your son is using substances regularly, secretly, or compulsively

You are seeing broken trust, instability, or safe concerns

Outpatient therapy or home-based efforts are not working

Daily functioning is declining at school, work, or at home

You are seeking a residential substance abuse treatment program for teen boys or young men.

Capstone Treatment Center provides families with a world-class residential treatment option that has led thousands of individuals and families on the path to lasting hope and healing.

A Diagnosis Is a Starting Point, Not a Definition

Why Does Substance Use Happen in Teen Boys and Young Men?

For many young men, substance use becomes a coping strategy for pain they do not know how to name. If treatment only focuses on stopping the behavior, it often misses what keeps pulling them back to it. This can be caused by many different things.

Anxiety, depression, shame, or emotional pain

Unresolved trauma

Fear of failure and pressure to perform

Loneliness, disconnection, low self-worth

Avoidance of conflict, responsibility, or painful relationships
